Time and time again I have enjoyed knowing the difference between working and working it. I parlayed years of experience in the career counseling field into the world of writing in the mid 90′s. As a freelance writer and editorial consultant I now have hundreds of internationally published articles and two books.
The co-author of Work It, Girl! The Black Woman’s Guide to Professional Success and The Mocha Manual to Military Life: A Savvy Guide for Wives, Girlfriends and Female Service Members, both available on Amazon, I have decided to create this writing space to let my literary hair down, while continuing to help women Work It, Girl!
Although I didn’t discover my passion for writing until my late twenties, I discovered my love of words long before then. I still remember winning a red t-shirt with the word BOOKWORM for reading more books than any of my fellow second graders. I also remember working in the school library instead of going to recess in fourth grade, all so I could read. And now, as my love of words continues into my forties, this is where I will share whatever comes to mind…the Small Talk and Big Ideas.
